As Research Director, Martin heads up the Solution research team and is committed to delivering robust, fact-based insight into the potential purchaser or acquisition target landscape on behalf of clients.

Before entering the market research industry in 1992, Martin held management positions in market-leading firms within the retail, advertising, industrial/precision plastics, wine and travel industries (including Sainsbury’s, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, Cullens, and World Wine Tours).

Martin and his team of MBA/graduate market research professionals use desk/secondary, qualitative and quantitative research techniques extensively.  Senior level decision-maker interviews form an integral part of their research solution. All fieldwork and analysis is designed and conducted from a neutral and unbiased perspective, to ensure that the information being attained and presented is purely factual.

Martin says “To obtain robust insight about a situation, market or company, having previous experience in the sector is valuable.  However, it is of greater importance to have an independent, inquisitive mindset, a wide-ranging research toolkit at ones fingertips and knowledge, gained from experience, of which tools to use when and in which order.”

Martin is a member of the Market Research Society (“MRS”), the European Society for Opinion and Market Research (“ESOMAR”), the Association of International Market Research Institutes (“AIMRI”), the Business & Industrial Research Group (“BIG”) and the Chartered Quality Institute (“CQI”).
